Flight Certification : To earn your Flight Certification, you must complete one of the following, depending on which platform(s) you own.
  • TIE Fighter : Submit a pilot file having received training patches in all craft, including the TIE Defender and Missile Boat.
  • X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter : Submit a pilot file having completed the single player training missions.
  • X-Wing Alliance : Submit a pilot file having completed the Prologue battle.
  • Multiplayer (XvT or XWA) : Play an official multiplayer match with an active member of the TIE Corps. Submit confirmation of the match to the Dean.

If you are flying TIE Fighter, the pilot file you will need to send the Dean will be named "NAMEOFYOURPILOT.tfr" and will be located in the main TIE Fighter directory, which normally is c:/Program Files/LucasArts/TIECD.

If you are flying X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, the pilot file you will need to send the Dean will be named "NAMEOFYOURPILOT.plt" and will be located in the main XvT directory, which normally is c:/Program Files/LucaArts/XwingTie

If you are flying X-Wing Alliance, the pilot file you will need to send the Dean will be named "NAMEOFYOURPILOT.plt" and will be located in the main XWA directory, which normally is

c:/Program Files/LucasArts/XWingAllaince

Once you have located your pilot file, attach it to an email message that includes your ID Line and send it to the Dean of IWATS, Vice Admiral Jedi Eclipse. He will then evaluate your file and award you with your flight certification if the file meets the requirements.
